The aim of WP6 was to expand the use of proven high impact digital technologies among advisors within and between regions, member states of EU and internationally. In order to support the exchange, modification and use of digital tools by advisors the WP comprised 6 different but highly interrelated Tasks:
T6.1 Business Case
T6.2 Implementation
T6.3 Cross Visits
T6.4 Training, fostering adaption of DATS
T6.5 Train trainers
T6.6 Assessment of training and adoption support activities
More specifically, Task 6.6 focused on developing evaluation criteria along with the assessment of a) the Cross Visits among User Cases (T6.3), b) the development of training modules (T6.4), c) the ‘Train the Trainers’ workshops for advisors-trainers (T6.5) who in turn trained a number of advisors in their organizations, and d) advisor support for and farmer adoption of digital tools using UCs for this project.
In this respect, evaluation templates were developed comprising close-ended and ‘likert type’ questions (quantitative assessment) and/or open questions (qualitative assessment) focusing on the best elements (pearls), challenges (puzzles), suggestions (proposals) and lessons learned from each of the above mentioned project activities.
Overall, the aforementioned activities of the project (also including the training of advisors by those who attended the ‘Train the Trainer’ course) were found to have been successfully carried out while also pointing to both good practices and difficulties per activity which, in turn, may prove useful for future advisory work and/or relevant projects.
