A cross visit took place in Lyon (France) from 16/11/2022 to 18/11/2022. It included testimonials of users of the tool with the meat interprofessional association, an advisor of agriculture chamber and a visit to a demonstration farm.
The objective of our UC is to encourage the use of the decision tool COUPROD to improve livestock farmers competitiveness.
The challenges addressed to the advisors and the farmers are:
- To enlarge the COUPROD use in the population of advisers and to ease their farmer assistance
- To co-create the next COUPROD dashboards accordingly to the advisory and farmers requests
- To resume economic and technical data in operational dashboards including results and references
This UC involves building a comprehensive system supporting the collection of farmer data of main characteristics of the farm, the technical data and accounting data. This UC provides the data needed to set up contracts between the farmer and the buyer. As a result, farmers can get a decent income, they can also compare themselves and improve their results. The advisor can lead groups of farmers, get accurate advice and have data specific to each sector and to its territory.
About the CV:
The partners displayed their work through the use of the tool. A visit to a farm allowed to see the usefulness of the tool both politically (contracts), technically and economically (levers for improvement).
